The Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education, Prof. J. Prospero de Vera III and his party cycled from the town of Jolo passing the municipality of Indanan up until Maimbung.Present during the activity is the Executive Director of UNIFAST, Atty. Ryan Estevez, the Regional Director of CHED VII, Dr. Maximo Aljibe, the Regional Director of CHED IX, Dr. Rody Garcia and the Director General MBHTE-BARMM, Dr. Majuddin Maddi and the Presidents of the different higher education insitutions in the province.
The purpose of the cycling event was to offer time to visit identified Tertiary Subsidy Program (TES) grantees in the province. As a leader, making his way to the ground is a way to understand the needs of his constituents.
Thank you to all who participated on this activity most especially to the Tausug Bikers Club (TBC), to all the participating higher education institutions in the province, Sulu Provincial Police Office, 11th Infantry (Alakdan) Division, and the local government units of Jolo, Indanan and Maimbung and Sulu Provincial Office.
