Last April 23, the Office for Institutional Development in Higher Education met with the officials of the Sulu State College (SSC). The two institutions discussed the future collaboration between UPLB and Sulu State College. On behalf of SSC, President Charisma Samparani Ututalum mentioned how important this meeting is since SSC started its faculty development program. Further, President Ututalum mentioned that SSC needs a “holistic” assistance from UPLB. She mentioned that SSC plans to avail all the services that OIDHE may offer so that “one day, SSC may also be known to the world.” Dr. Sherhan Ali Endih, SSC Program Coordinator, and Dr. Nelson Julhamid,Vice President for Research and Extension, attended with the SSC President. Before the meeting ended, Prof. Rocky Marcelino, OIDHE program coordinator was identified as the focal person for the SSC-UPLB collaboration. A memorandum of understanding was swiftly shared and reviewed by the two institutions.
