In a remarkable demonstration of proactive vision, recognizing the importance of the future, five(5) distinct groups within Sulu State College namely Sulu Salt, Smart Campus, Sulu Coffee, Halal Hub, and Food Preservation led by Professor Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE have come together to land a 3-day Future Thinking and Foresight Activity, aiming to landscape a prosperous and sustainable future on May 24-26, 2023.
This project would not be possible without the support of Senator Pia Cayetano as she continues to champion for innovation and sustainability. This collaborative effort brings and nurtures together the participants with experts from different fields as their resource speakers namely Ms. Ma. Christine F. Reyes, Director, Aptissimi Development Innovations, Inc., Mr. Joseph Reylan B. Viray and Ms. Jalaine Joyce V. Malabanan to collectively envision and strategize for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Through this activity, brainstorming sessions, and presentation kicked off, the participating groups explore emerging technologies, assess societal trends, flourishing halal industry and identify potential disruptions. They aim to foresight actionable roadmaps and recommendations to navigate the complexities of tomorrow effectively.
The Sulu State College would like to thank the resource speakers and the participants, surely this future thinking activity serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and highlights the transformative innovation. By harnessing the collective wisdom and expertise shared during the event, this will make our institution at the forefront of driving positive change and shaping a future that is both prosperous and sustainable.
