Today holds meaningful memories as we commemorate those who act as figures of hope and education in our second home. The Sulu State College joined the celebration of National Teachers’ Day with the theme “The Teachers We Need for the Education We Want: The Global Imperative to Reverse Teacher Shortage,” spearheaded by the Faculty Association led by Dr. Alnadzma Tulawie in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs and Services and Central Student Government on October 7, 2023, at SSC Gymnasium.

The event was graced by Hon. Samier Tan, Representative 1st District of Sulu, and the College President, Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, along with the College VPAA, Prof. Nelson U. Julhamid, Board Secretary, Ayesha Rema Tan, and the whole faculty of Sulu State College.

Some highlights during the celebration were sharing the gift of love, Zumba dancing, and parlor games.

To all teachers around the world, happy Teachers’ Day!
