Adorned with the institution’s symbolic colors, CHED commissioner Dr. Jo Mark M. Libre, together with college president Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, Hon. Samier Tan, Hon. Hussin U. Amin, Mr. Hussein Uckong, Mr. Erwin Tan, and other dignitaries gathered during the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new administration building of Sulu State College today, October 8, 2023, at SSC Main Campus.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by the college president, Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported bringing the project to reality. It was followed by a message from Comm. Jo Mark M. Libre, who emphasized the rapid changes and progress of Sulu State College under the leadership of the visionary president, Hon. Samier Tan, as Guest of Honor, delivered his inspirational message, conveying SSC as one of his favorite places. Afterwards, Mr. Erwin Tan, representing Sulu Provincial Governor, Hon. Abdusakur M. Tan took part, sharing the words of the governor and expressing his unwavering support for the institution.
The event was graced by esteemed guests together with the members of the SSC Board of Trustees, namely Hon. Ahmad Shawfee M. Jul, Hon. Abraham A. Pelayo, Hon. Satrina Joy Juljani, Hon. Alnadzma Tulawie, Hon. Hussin U. Amin, and Hon. Atty. Abdel Aziz Alih. Also in attendance were from the Commission on Audit, Ms. Fatima Ayesha Hayudini and Mr. Hussin Uckong, and SSC administrative officials, faculty and staff, and students of Sulu State College.
The ceremony also featured a tour of the building by Stalwart students from different schools, allowing the guests to explore the features of the building and witness the results of the collaborative efforts of the people behind this magnificent infrastructure.
The new administration building stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to progress, excellence, and serving its SSC community with the utmost dedication.
