The 3-day Phase III of the Capacity Building on University Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight program was concluded today June 21-23, 2023 at Zamboanga City. This was participated by certain teams from Sulu State College, facilitated by Aptissimi Development Innovations Inc(ADII) in partnership with the Philippine Futures Thinking Society.

This initiative aims to equip universities with essential skills and knowledge in futures thinking and strategic foresight to navigate the landscape of an ever-changing future. Sulu State College together with its participating groups in various fields of expertise shared valuable insights, plans and outputs for the future advancements and innovations.

Furthermore, the Phase III of the Capacity Building on University Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight program, featured interactive discussion, expert-led seminars, and collaborative projects including scenario, and strategy development through lectures, case studies, and facilitated workshops on environmental scanning, strategy development, back casting, and moonshots. These activities will facilitate deep engagement within the said program, and foster a multidisciplinary approach to foresight ensuring universities can holistically address challenges, and seize opportunities.

With this, our gratitude towards the SSC Teams for showing their collective efforts in ensuring the future of our institution, and to the ADII, for their dedications to fostering innovation, crafting future research agendas, truly a valuable partner in this endeavor. Their knowledge and expertise in strategic foresight contributed significantly to the Phase III of the program, through this collaboration. This will help shape the future of the various fields by strategically allocating resources, identifying emerging trends, and effectively responding to ongoing challenges.
