Sulu State College celebrates its 41st Commencement Exercises on June 8, 2023, with the theme “Sustainable Excellence: The Hallmark of Sulu State College.” The event was a remarkable celebration of academic achievement, highlighting the institution’s commitment to sustainability and excellence.
Several distinguished guests were present during the ceremony including Hon. Jo Mark Libre, CHED Commissioner, Designated Chair of the SSC Board of Trustees, and other esteemed members of the Board of Trustees.
The event took part with a message delivered by Commissioner Jo Mark Libre followed by the proclamation of the 1,433 candidates for graduation in their respective degrees highlighted by the College President Prof. Charisma S.Ututalum, CESE.
Meanwhile, Hon. Achilles Gerard C. Bravo, DBM Assistant Secretary convey his part as the commencement speaker where he emphasized the importance of sustainable excellence in shaping a better future and encouraged the graduates to become catalysts for positive change in their respective fields.
Furthermore, Prof. Nelson U. Julhamid, Ph.D. presented the academic excellence awards to the Latin Honor Students as the hallmark of the collective efforts and sacrifices they rendered along their academic journey.
