The Commission on Higher Education, represented by Regional Director Dr. Rody Garcia and other CHED officials, along with Sulu State College president Prof.Charisma S. Ututalum, successfully held the disbursement of the CHED SMART Scholarship for the academic year 2023-2024 at Luuk Municipality.

The disbursement was facilitated by the college president, Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, along with RD Rody P. Garcia, CHED officials, and the representative from the office of Congressman Munir Arbison.

This program is important as it aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals (#UNSDG) 1, 4, 16, and 17: No Poverty, Quality Education, Peace, Justice, Strong Institutions, and Partnership for the Goal. It positively influences students’ lives, addressing their educational needs. This initiative also reflects the institution’s core values of commitment and excellence by consistently striving for excellence.
