Sulu State College, under the leadership of Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, held its last-day celebration of the SSC 42nd Founding Anniversary and its 100-year celebration as an academic institution with a bang.

The variety show, “The Greatest Showdown,” took place on March 9, 2024, at the SSC Multi-purpose Gymnasium, Walled City, Jolo, Sulu.

The variety show competition comprised various categories, including group choir, group impersonation, rap battle, hip-hop, and many more. Jaw-dropping performances came from the contenders of every school as they commanded the center stage with their breathtaking performances.

The event was graced by the CHED Secretary, Prof. J. Prospero E. De Vera III, along with the CHED Region IX team. Also in attendance were the college president, Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, and college officials, including VPAA Prof. Nelson U. Julhamid.

Adding a touch of romance to the variety show, CHED Secretary Popoy De Vera performed the song “Wonderful Tonight” for his wife in homage to the celebration of National Women’s Month 2024.

Furthermore, the college president, Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, took center stage and lit up the night with her performance of Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” song.

Congratulations to all the participating schools at Sulu State College. Indeed, each of you showcased your prowess and extraordinary talents, making you all winners.
