Sulu State College, in partnership with National Economic and Development Authority IX (NEDAIX), concluded its 3-day training workshop on Project Development; Evaluation and Behavioral Event Interviewing on January 9–11, 2024, at Function Hall, SSC Hostel, Capitol Site, Jolo,Sulu.

Sulu State College President Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, honored the event with her opening remarks, expressing gratitude to participants and lecturers from NEDA IX who, under the guidance of RD Phlorita A. Ridao, Regional Director NEDA IX; Ms. Karyl Kristal M. Villejo, CAO NEDA X; Ms. Leticia O. Lobren, CEDS, NEDA IX;Ardi Abril T. Layugue, Acting CEDS, NEDA IX; Ms. Divine Grace P. Dequito, CPA Senior EDS, NEDA IX; Dr. Ceselle C. Harina, DPA Senior EDS, NEDA IX and Daryll L. Cabico, EDS, NEDA IX.

The training workshop was composed of a simultaneous event, which was divided into two trainings, namely project development and evaluation, and behavioral event interviewing. Several topics were discussed during the event, including the project development cycle, project identification, logical framework analysis, market analysis, technical analysis, financial analysis, economic analysis, institutional analysis, social analysis and gender responsiveness, environmental analysis, and monitoring and evaluation system. On the other hand, under the BEI are the modules 1 overview, skills-building activities, 2 preparing for the interview, 3 opening the interview, 4 conducting the interview, and closing the interview.

These initiatives align with #UNSDG’s 4, 17, quality education, and partnership for the goal as they focus on enhancing skills related to project development and evaluation and promoting partnerships to achieve sustainable development goals through capacity building and knowledge sharing.

Through continuous effort in monitoring, integration into real-world scenarios, and evaluation, these initiatives will foster the academic and economic growth of the college in the region.
