Commission on Higher Education headed by Prof. J. Prospero E. De Vera III, Sulu State College led by Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum,CESE, together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines represented by Major General Ignatius N. Patrimonio PA, and nine (9) barangays from the Municipality of Patikul led by Hon. Kabir Hayudini and the project leader Malikha J Ilupa, formalized a partnership through MOA signing for the project entitled“ Establishment of Nursery and Demo Farm for Fruit Bearing Trees, Cereal, and Vegetable Production in SSC School of Agriculture for Community Technology Transfer of Balik Barangay Patikul” on March 8, 2024, at Barangay Pangdanon, Patikul Sulu.

This agreement solidifies the commitment among entities to collaborate on these initiatives and establish a sustainable project.

The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of key individuals, including CHED secretary Prof. J. Prospero E. De Vera III, Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, President of Sulu State College, Maj. Gen. Patrimonio, and Hon. Kabir Hayudini and other notable attendees from CHED Region IX and other officials were among the entities.

This collaborative endeavor is in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, aiming to address hunger, promote sustainable agriculture, and improve nutrition within the community.

Sulu State College looks forward to the positive outcomes arising from this partnership, emphasizing the good impact it will have on the journey towards more sustainable development.
